Easy Button Tree Card

A few days ago I came up with this Easy Button Tree card for a quick evening project. And it just came out too cute not to officially share it.
It took just a few minutes to prepare, and the kids were able to put together a few cards pretty quickly. They'll use them later this month for teachers and other special friends.

Materials:
White card stock
Green card stock
Colorful buttons
Glue stick
White glue

We had these fun holiday buttons left over from our Kid-Made Ornament Party a few weeks ago. We couldn't resist the great colors and cute shapes when we were picking out supplies from The Oriental Trading Company. Lucky for us, we had several left over for more projects!

Before the boys started creating, I cut 8 x 11 pieces of white card stock in half and cut small trees out of the green paper.

The boys glued the trees onto the card stock using the glue stick.

They then used the small, white glue tubes to add buttons onto the trees. Have I said already how much I love these little Elmer tubes? They make gluing easy for even little hands.

We left the cards to dry flat so the buttons wouldn't slide around.

As I said above, these Easy Button Tree cards were just too cute, and too easy, not to share! I'm sure we'll be making a few more over the next few days.
